Short and with their perfectly rounded eye, they are ideal for patchwork or tight fabrics. The between needles are ideal for quilting, a technique associated with patchwork. They will make padding work easier for you, amongst other things. The needle does not have to be long, as the technique is not the same as with a standard stitch: the needle is pushed horizontally into the fabric with very little space between the stitches. They are generally used on 100% patchwork cotton, but can be used on all fabrics by adapting the needle number. They are usually used with a quilting yarn (more resistant than a traditional yarn). A BOHIN needle means unequalled perfection.

The numbering corresponds to the size of each needle, No. 3 being the longest and thickest one, and No. 12 the shortest and thinnest one of the series.
