Knit your own Cabin Socks

How to knit your won "Cabin Socks"

You can knit your own Cabin Socks using three colors from the Regia Classic 4 ply line.

Materials needed:

100g Regia Classic 4-Ply Grey

50g Regia Classic 4-Ply White

50 Regia Classic 4-Pkly Red

 

The sock is based on the Regia Sock Knitting Guide vanilla base pattern which you can download HERE.

 

 

Instructions:

 

With white yarn cast on the required amount of stitches.

Work 1x1 rib pattern (*K1, P1*) in rounds for 1cm.

Park white yarn do not break yarn.


Join red yarn and continue in 1x1 rib pattern for 3 rounds. 

Cut red yarn.

 

Loosely carry white yarn over red section along the inside of the sock back.

Continue knitting in 1x1 rib pattern with white yarn until cuff measures a total of 6cm in height.

Cut white yarn.


Join grey yarn and begin knitting wide rib pattern (*K3, P3*)

Knit in this fashion until you reach desired height of sock before beginning heel.

Cut grey yarn.


Join white yarn and start knitting your heel. 

Choose any of your preferred heel styles or use one of our heels from our heel knitting guide here.

Note: the increase heel or heels that are worked in full rounds is not suitable for this style of color blocked heel.


When heel shaping is finished and you start working in rounds again, cut white yarn and join grey yarn.


Work wide rib pattern on half of the stitches shaping the top of your sock and stockinette stitch for the bottom of your sock until you reach the desired length before shaping the toe.

Cut grey yarn. 


With white yarn knit and shape toe.
